This week, the Humane Society of West Michigan brought in an adorable dog named Moxxi. Moxxi is a 2-year-old Retriever and Chinese Shar-Pei Mix but favors the retriever side more. She's got some wrinkles and her bluish/purple tongue give away that she's a shar-pei but she's a cutie regardless...

Artist Who Had Mardi Gras Beads Stolen Brings ‘Macarena’ to ArtPrize
Jeffrey Augustine Songco's installation "Revelry" brought 2,700 pounds of Mardi Gras beads to Calder Plaza in Grand Rapids at ArtPrize 2015. Those beads were (mistakenly?) taken on opening weekend.
Songco is back for ArtPrize Eight with the "Macarena" at UICA.
Cleveland Artist Plans To Live Inside His ArtPrize Installation For 30 Days [Video]
Cleveland Artist, Loren Naji, will climb into his ArtPrize installation today and live there for 30 days. Naji's installation is a giant wooden sphere and he will be living, sleeping, and eating inside of it.
The artist's exhibit is called "EMOH", which is "home" spelled backwards, and it is designed to bring awareness about homelessness in the United States...

Over 2,000 Entries for ArtPrize Eight
Artist registration closed on Thursday for ArtPrize Eight. At the close of the nearly eight week registration period, 2,124 artists or artist teams have registered 2,008 entries and hope to compete for awards totaling $500,000 this fall in Grand Rapids.
ArtPrize Announces Jurors for 2016
On Thursday, ArtPrize announced the 2016 panel of jurors that will award the $200,000 Juried Grand Prize and $62,500 in Category Awards at ArtPrize Eight.
ArtPrize Artist Registration Now Open
Artist registration opened at noon today for ArtPrize 2016. Registration for the eighth annual event runs until 5PM on June 2.

ArtPrize Exhibition Will Feature 50 Artists Including Robert DeNiro Sr.
ArtPrize in partnership with Second Ave Arts today announced a three-day exhibition named Collectors Show / SPRING.
Collectors Show / SPRING will be held at the ArtPrize HUB in Grand Rapids from March 31 - April 2.
The show will feature 30 past ArtPrize artists and 20 artists from New York City, including Robert DeNiro Sr.

ArtPrize and Michigan House today announced that the fourth iteration of Michigan House, a roving pop-up space, will serve as a home away from home for Michigan music and a space for discussion during South by Southwest 2016 in Austin, Texas.
ArtPrize Announces New Grants for Artists Worth $55,000
ArtPrize today announced a brand new grant program for 2016. ArtPrize Featured Public Projects will grant $55,000 directly to artists, ranging from $10,000 to $15,000 per project.
The grants will be given to artists for entries at four ArtPrize venues: Vandenberg (Calder) Plaza, Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Grand River and Gillett Bridge.
