When the Michigan primaries were moved up to earlier in the year than they traditionally have been the hope was that it would give Michigan a larger role in the primaries.  Mission accomplished.  There will be heavy campaigning going on all over the state this weekend.

Polls have been showing a see-saw battle between Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney for the lead in Michigan, with Ron Paul in third and Newt Gingrich in fourth.

Santorum, Romney, and Paul all have multiple events scheduled around the state over the weekend, including a stop in Kalamazoo for Romney tonight and a stop in Hudsonville for Paul on Sunday.
