It's New Home November at the Humane Society of West MI [Video]

Lyla Mae is a 2 ½ year old terrier mix that arrived to the Humane Society of West Michigan at the end of October from Arkansas on an ASPCA rescue transport. She has the biggest smile and is sure to brighten your day. She also loves to give kisses if you couldn't tell by the video. Lyla Mae also does well with other dogs.

Cold Weather Safety

Winter came early this year, are you and your pets prepared? Here are some cold weather safety tips from the ASPCA:

Provide a warm, dry sleeping area for all pets
Stock up on extra pet food and water in the event of being snowed in or unable to travel
Thoroughly wipe off paws when returning insider after a walk to remove irritating salt or ice.
If it's too cold for you, it's probably too cold for your pet!
