Making good on his claim that he would upload a very special video that would be a response to all the different versions of his hit "Somebody That I Used to Know," Gotye has now unveiled "Somebodies: A YouTube Orchestra".

He writes,

Reluctant as I am to add to the mountain of interpretations of 'Somebody That I Used To Know' seemingly taking over their own area of the internet, I couldn't resist the massive remixability that such a large, varied yet connected bundle of source material offered.

Basically, Gotye took a bunch of different versions of his song "Somebody That I Used To Know" that have been posted to YouTube, and edited them all together into one big, awesome video. Outright parody videos, such as the "Star Wars That I Used to Know" spoof, get equal time alongside regular people performing the song in a ton of different ways. You've find choirs, heavy-metal guitarists, solo acoustic covers, a guy playing the song by blowing into plastic bottles, and a guy who seemingly needed to narrate his entire performance.

Gotye added,

Thank you to everyone who has responded to 'Somebody That I Used to Know' via YouTube. It's truly amazing!

He signed his message "Wally," which is his birth name.  He also provided a link to a list of every video he used to create the piece.
