Gotye isn't very happy about the version of his hit "Somebody That I Used To Know" that appeared on Glee a few weeks ago.  One of the big reasons why "Somebody That I Used to Know" has hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 is because of it being featured on Glee, but Gotye isn't thrilled about the way the show handled his song.

In an interview with Australia's  Sunday Mail, the singer, whose real name is Wally De Backer, said, "They did such a faithful arrangement of the instrumentals, but the vocals were that pop Glee style, ultra dry....[it] sounded pretty tuned, and the rock has no real sense, like it's playing to you from a cardboard box." He also told the Australian Herald Sun that the show's treatment of his hit "made it sound dinky and wrong."

Still, he can't deny that the show helped catapult stardom even further. He's one of only four Australian artists ever to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and last week "Somebody That I Used To Know" set a record for one-week digital download sales.  Only three other artists have ever sold more in a single week.

Check out Glee's take on the hit below. What do you think? Did they do the song justice?
