Get a ‘Free Cruise’ Robocall? You Could Get up to $900

Well. We may never actually get a free cruise out of the deal. BUT. If you have gotten one of these calls, you could get up to $900 thanks to a new class action lawsuit.
Fox 17 reports that the lawsuit claims that a third-party travel agency, Resort Marketing Group (RMG), made pre-recorded robocalls from July 2009 to March 2014. The calls offered free cruises with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
The lawsuit alleges that the calls violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Rather than go to trial, the companies decided to settle last month, the Miami Herald reports. Now a fund worth between $7 million and $12.5 million (it depends on how many claims are filed) is being set up.
You could be eligible for this class action suit if you got a pre-recorded call from RMG between July 2009 and March 2014 offering a free cruise.
Each call you got will have a maximum value of $300 and you can claim up to three calls per telephone number — so it could total up to $900.
