May 22, 2012 Air Force Staff Sgt. Joseph Weems, 24, died on May 14 after being hit by a train. He was riding his bicycle near Ramstein Air Base in Germany. After six years of service, Weems was planning to exit the Air Force and return home yesterday.
Weems was a 2005 graduate of Byron Center High School.

And the job market in Michigan has been pretty terrible for a while, but according to Forbes magazine, people in Grand Rapids have had an easier time than others at creating job opportunities for the unemployed to become employed again.
