July 31, 2012 The Kent County Health Department is advising residents to take precautions when spending time outdoors after the discovery of West Nile Virus in three Michigan counties.
Officials are saying that the conditions this summer have caused mosquitoes, which carry the virus, to hatch early. West Nile Virus can be fatal, and has symptoms that include fevers, meningitis, and even encephalitis.

A 13-year-old girl got a little bored while waiting for her grandmother outside of the Lakes Mall in Muskegon this afternoon, and decided to go for a little joy ride.

June 26, 2012 Facebook has already taken over the world, but could this be a good thing for the small business owners? Facebook yard sale groups have been popping up left and right. The yard sales allow users to not only look at items from people in their city, but sell their items without having to mail them like an eBay. Gone are the days of having to set up tables and sit in the hot sun all day only to see a couple people visit your sale. Say hello to the technology and convenience of the Internet.
June 25, 2012 Your wedding day is supposed to be one that you'll never forget. I'm sure that Eric and Maegan Walber from Byron Center won't be forgetting theirs any time soon.
According to WOOD-TV8, the entire wedding party fell into Gun Lake on Saturday, after the dock on which they were having photos taken gave way. Surprisingly, they were all really good sports about it, which you can see in the video after the jump!
