A horrendous sledding accident Saturday, which left a four-year-old boy in the hospital, and police searching for the person or persons who ran him over, has West Michigan parents asking, "How do I keep my kids safe while they're sledding?"

Downtown Grand Rapids’ Ritz Koney Loses Lease, Will Close in February

The Ritz Koney Bar & Grille on Ionia Ave. in downtown Grand Rapids has announced that they will be closing their doors for good in February.

In a Facebook post on their page Wednesday, owners Kevin and Keith stated that the restaurant will be closing on Feb. 23. According to the post, the landlord of the building where Ritz Koney has been located for the past several years has elected to not renew their lease and is instead putting a different restaurant in that location.

‘Mythbusters’ Coming to Grand Rapids’ DeVos Performance Hall April 16

Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, co-hosts of "Mythbusters" on The Discovery Channel, are bringing "Mythbusters: Jamie & Adam Unleashed" to Grand Rapids' DeVos Performance Hall this spring.

According to their website, the show will feature "on-stage experiments, audience participation, rocking video and behind-the-scenes stories. Fans will join Jamie and Adam on stage and assist in their mind-twisting and not always orthodox approach to science."

Grand Rapids Restaurant Owner Bans Michael Moore, Seth Rogen

A West Michigan business owner says that he's banning Michael Moore and Seth Rogen from his restaurants to honor the memory of Chris Kyle.

Tommy Brann, who owns Brann’s Sizzling Steaks and Sports Bar, changed the digital sign in front of his restaurant over the weekend to spread the message that the filmmaker and actor would not be allowed in his establishment.

The Michigan State Police have issued a warning regarding a telephone scam using the IRS as a cover.

Police are saying that scammers have been using fake names and IRS badge numbers to intimidate victims into wiring money to pay off IRS debts. The scammers have threatened victims with audits, arrests, suspension of business licenses and deportation.
