Whitecaps Announce Winner Of Vote And Other Additions To Menu
A few weeks ago the West Michigan Whitecaps announced ten finalists to be added to this year’s menu. Fans voted for their favorite potential menu item in the annual vote. Voting closed on March 5 and the winner has been announced.
The West Michigan Whitecaps will be adding West Side ‘Po Boy to the menu this year.
Mlive.com reports, the West Side ‘Po Boy is “served on a hoagie roll loaded with kielbasa, sauerkraut and pierogies all covered with marinara sauce”.
Here’s a complete list more new items being added to the menu this year by the West Michigan Whitecaps:
• Movie Theater Candy (Skittles, Milk Duds, M&Ms, etc) • Giant Turkey Leg (1.5 lb giant smoked turkey leg) • Chicken Sluggers (BBQ grilled chicken drumsticks) • Pierogies (deep fried potato and cheese filled pasta) • Pickle Chips (deep fried pickle slices) • Gluten Free Hot Dogs (with gluten free buns) • Salsalita Chips (round tortillas made with salsa) • Egglands Best Deviled Eggs (available on suite level only) • Lobster Roll (cold lobster blend on brioche bun – suite level only) • Half Rack Ribs (Billy Bones smoked St. Louis style ribs – suite level only)
I was pulling for Pasties to win, they finished second in voting, but the Whitecaps decided to add them to the menu anyway! Looking forward to trying them, but what ever happened to a good, old-fashioned hot dog with mustard?
