Uber has grown exponentially as a company, especially this past year. That's why it's no surprise that the company has announced a food delivery service to its growing model.

UberEats will help those who are hungry rather than those that need a ride. The concept was incepted this past December. It was tested out and proven successful in Toronto, Spain and L.A. and then was added to Chicago and New York. For now, at least, UberEats will be expanded to 10 major cities including Washington D.C., Austin, Seattle & San Francisco.

Customers can place orders among dozens of restaurants and have Uber deliver them within about 30 minutes or so for a charge of $5."

According to Forbes,

Uber has also been utilizing another service in select cities that offers a limited selection of pre-chosen items that are delivered in less than 10 minutes with no added delivery charge.

UberEats will be available in a separate app than the normal Uber.

If all goes well, Uber will continue to expand the concept around the country. In the meantime you've got two options: pizza delivery or starvation.
