‘The Walking Dead’ Spoiled The Mid-Season Finale For Its Own Fans With This Facebook Post
SPOILER ALERT! (No seriously, if you haven't watched Sunday night's Walking Dead mid-season finale, don't read any further. Because I don't want to spoil the episode for you like the show did on its official Facebook page.
In the age of the internet, it’s hard for fans of shows to avoid TV. In fact, last night I had to watch the previous episode before I watched the mid-season finale because our DVR hadn't recorded the previous episode. So, I was a little behind and tried to stay away from social media until I made it to the end of the new episode.
Usually, spoilers come from random news and social media posts, but rarely do they come from the pages of the shows themselves. On Sunday, however, The Walking Dead's social media team made a huge faux pas, when they posted a picture with a caption about the ending, which included the death of a main character. Unfortunately, they posted that picture several hours before the show aired on the West Coast and in Europe. (DO NOT LOOK AT THE PHOTO BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE YET!)
