SPOILER ALERT! (No seriously, if you haven't watched Sunday night's Walking Dead mid-season finale, don't read any further. Because I don't want to spoil the episode for you like the show did on its official Facebook page.

In the age of the internet, it’s hard for fans of shows to avoid TV. In fact, last night I had to watch the previous episode before I watched the mid-season finale because our DVR hadn't recorded the previous episode. So, I was a little behind and tried to stay away from social media until I made it to the end of the new episode.

Usually, spoilers come from random news and social media posts, but rarely do they come from the pages of the shows themselves. On Sunday, however, The Walking Dead's social media team made a huge faux pas, when they posted a picture with a caption about the ending, which included the death of a main character. Unfortunately, they posted that picture several hours before the show aired on the West Coast and in Europe. (DO NOT LOOK AT THE PHOTO BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE YET!)

Folks are none to happy with the show. Posting comments telling them how they ruined their favorite show for them.
Fan Shane Dougherty commented saying, "This is the dumbest post I've ever seen from an official fb page. Spoiling a major plot point for millions of your fans? Someone should be fired over this."
While another fan named Nancy Garlie said, "Seriously! Why would you post this the same night it aired! You couldn't wait at least a day to post this pic until those of us that don't have cable get to watch the episode today!"
Whoever runs the Facebook page at least pulled the post a little over an hour after it originally went up, and started focusing on posts from the evening that were spoiler-free. There’s one of Daryl and Rick holding up guns, which we've seen time and time again, so really it could have been from any episode.
Did the show get spoiled for you? (It did for me. I thought I could avoid the spoilers, but one of my Facebook friends just came right out and said who had died before I was even halfway through the episode.)
