Among the things one could find inside an elementary school dumpster, hundreds of letters addressed to Taylor Swift aren't usually on the list. But that's what one Nashville woman discovered mixed in with the discarded juice boxes and uneaten tater tots over the weekend.

The fan mail, unopened and decked out with glitter and hearts, was found behind Nashville's Granberry School -- and when you think about it, it's kind of fitting, because Taylor knows a thing or two about throwing hearts to the curb.

"I was like, ‘That's weird,'" Kylee Francescan told a local TV station. "There were like hundreds of letters in there to Taylor Swift and I'm like, ‘Oh my gosh!' I didn't know if they were stolen [or] discarded, so I threw them in a box. And I'm like, ‘Somebody needs to let Taylor know.'"

But fear not, Swifties. Your missives will not be sent to sleep with the Justin Bieber notebooks. Taylor's people explained it was all a mix-up.

"The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center," someone in her camp said. "We sincerely appreciate Channel 2 bringing this to our attention, and we plan to immediately pick up the mail."

The fan mail has since been retrieved by a hooded figure member of Taylor's PR firm, and we're assured it will be handled properly this time.

So if you find any other glittery letters in a dumpster, you can just assume they're meant for Kesha.
