This past week Channel 95-7 took part in a Supermarket Sweep to help collect food for the Access Food Network and 'Food For Families.' Wendy, Janna, and I did not do so well as WZZM-13 took home the prize
Would you like to help out area families in need? Well bring by any non-perishable food item or household product to the Spartan Food Truck at the WZZM-13 studios this Monday, as I will be broadcasting live and doing my entire show out there starting at 3pm.

Channel 957 is friends with Wzzm 13 and this morning during Take Five I happened to catch the cutest boy singing an Adele tune that you have to see! Check out the video after the jump.
You've heard of the game "Angry Birds", well, we have an angry bird in downtown Grand Rapids.
You need to filter through tons of pages when looking for good content on Facebook. So I figured I could make it a little easier on you. Below you will find the top 5 West Michigan Facebook pages to follow
A Cutlerville man is confirmed dead in today's stormy weather that has been thundering through West Michigan.
According to WZZM 13, the 38-year old man was pinned by a tree that fell onto his garage while he was trying to get his wife and six kids into the house and out of harms way.
Heavy storms swept through the region yesterday afternoon, bringing with it large hail in several areas. WZZM 13 reported last night that thousands of people were left without power. According to Consumers Energy, 19,800 residents are without power state wide, with Kent county accounting for about 5,700 of those reports. Power is scheduled to be restored sometime today, but crews have to clear away debris before they can start repairing the power lines. Click 'READ MORE' to watch WZZM 13's newscast.
Steve, Jerry Noble and I took on teams from our sister stations, WZZM, Access, and other sponsors this morning in “Supermarket Sweeps” for the WZZM’s Food for Families food drive. It got pretty intense at the Lake Michigan Drive Family as we dashed through the aisles to see who could collect the most items in 5 minutes. Check out the photo gallery (and action packed video) after the jump!
Your donation to Food for Families makes a big difference in your community! Local food pantries are often inundated during the holiday season because people are in the spirit of giving. But the giving slows dramatically during the summer months. That’s unfortunate because experts know… hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation. In fact, food pantries struggle to keep up with the demand for help during the summer months. And now there is a new face of hunger in our community. People who one or two years ago were holding jobs and feeding their families without trouble, now need to rely on food pantries.
