It's time to head out to the stores to do some shopping this week. Very few stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day, but many will be opening early on Black Friday.
A Grand Rapids community group is gearing up for their annual turkey giveaway and reminding those in need that they need to pre-register for the giveaway.
The retailer announced this week that not only would they be 'well-stocked' with the birds for Thanksgiving, they're also dropping the price of the Thanksgiving favorite to just 33 cents a pound for their Meijer Brand Frozen Turkeys.
This meal is open to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, as well as anyone in the greater Grand Rapids community who is looking for fellowship.
