Grand Rapids residents are still encouraged to put out their curbside recycling carts, although they'll now take the recyclables to the city energy incinerator.
It looks like another nice weekend in West Michigan. We have a variety of outdoor and indoor events. Several sporting events...from baseball, to boxing, disc golf, to auto racing. It is also the final weekend to see the Butterflies are Blooming exhibit. There will be tree planting, gardening, recycling, and even a White Elephant Sale. There is also a couple of opportunities to get rid of the unwanted drugs you may have.
Grand Rapids has made recycling easier for Grand Rapids residents! If you still sort your recyclables, you're able to get a new cart for them, where you can just put everything in one container! It's called Single Stream Recycling, and it's available for current city recyclers.
