I attended the LaughFest press conference this morning and once I tore myself away from the breakfast buffet (who doesn't love free bacon?) I found out that some great (seriously funny) comedians are coming to this year's festival.  Among those announced to perform are Whoopi Goldberg, Kevin Nealon, Rodney Carrington, Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan, and Martin Short...

In May, LaughFest announced that the festival would be returning to Grand Rapids in 2012. LaughFest 2012 is set for March 8 - March 18.  On November 10, LaughFest will announce who is coming in 2012.

Gilda’s LaughFest will return for a second year in Grand Rapids. This morning, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids’ officials announced the 2012 event will start March 8 and run through March 18.  Gilda’s LaughFest organizers and community leaders discussed the successes of this year's event when announcing to continue with it next year.

Hundreds of Laughfest volunteers flooded the Calder Plaza downtown GR, during yesterday's thunderstorm, to pose for a picture that will become the new logo for Gilda's Club! Comedian Gabriel Iglesias rounded out the ten day show at DeVos Performance Hall and from what I'm hearing at work today -- he may be back next year!

In her first visit to West Michigan in her nearly 90-years, Betty White promises that she will never forget us in her heart. Heart is the 'Password' of the week as talented comedians from all parts of the country have come together to help raise awareness and funds for Gilda's Club.

Laughfest is underway in Grand Rapids to raise money for Gilda's Club.  Over the next ten days, comedians from all over the country will fill seats at the GRCC Ford Fieldhouse, St. Cecilia Music Center, DeVos Place and Performance Hall.

Laughfest officially kicks off at 7:30pm tonight at Rosa Parks Circle!  The festivities at Rosa Parks will include an attempt to break Guinness World Record for tossing rubber chickens.  Everyone is welcome, so you can stroll downtown and lob some rubber chickens around in attempt to beat the Guinness Record.  The previous record was 265 people tossing chickens and Laughfest organizers hope to dra

Betty White was a guest on Jay Leno's show last night, and after talking about her lack of cooking skills, her hate of red carpet events, the perfect size for a dinner party and turning down "As Good As It Gets", she and Jay talked a bit about LaughFest!

She may be 89-years-old, but Betty White's still got it! She proved it last night at the Screen Actors' Guild Awards where she took home her first ever SAG statuette. I can't believe that Betty White is 89 today!  Anyone who has not only made us laugh-out-loud for decades (The Tonight Show, The Golden Girls), but is still promoting laughter has my full love and support!
