Happy Fourth of July weekend!  As you plan your family reunion or pack your car to head out-of-town today -- make sure you keep a couple of things in mind if you plan on taking your four legged family member(s) with you!

Most likely your dog, cat, ferret, bird and/or horse has a fear of something.  The most common problem is the fear of loud and unexpected noises which is the whole point of celebrating our independence -- being loud and obnoxious with as many bottle rockets and sparklers as you can afford!  Plus, taking in your local fireworks display!!

Reward: Do You Know This Cat?

Have you seen this cat?  I'm so upset to hear that yet another animal has fallen victim to a hateful person's decision to take his or her anger out on an innocent pet.

"Bow" was found along U.S. 131 and Burton about a week ago and has been recovering ever since.  The sweet male cat has been treated for arrow wounds to the face and neck at the Michigan Veterinary Specialists.

The Humane Society is offering a combined reward of $3,000 to anyone who has information leading to the evil person responsible for this heinous crime.
