ESPN's "Outside The Lines" has debuted a 16-minute story on Wes Leonard.

Leonard was a 16-year-old basketball star at Fennville High School.  He died on March 23rd after scoring the winning basket to clinch an undefeated regular season for Fennville

Fennville Retires Jersey #35 With Pride!

All eyes this basketball season have been on a small town high school team in Fennville called the Blackhawks.

March third, one of their close teammates died of a heart attack after leading them into the playoffs, undefeated!

#35 will forever be remembered as the number Wes Leonard chose to wear each time he led his team to victory before his tragic death.

Fennville Heads To Regionals Tonight!

For me, and hopefully for you, it has been really neat to see the Fennville community, as well as surrounding communities come together and lift up the Leonard family after Wes unexpectedly died after throwing the winning shot to advance his team to the play-offs on March 3rd.

It's far reaching how many people I have since met who also either knew Wes or his family -- and how much they're all respected and loved.  This is good for America to see as ESPN follows this small town team rally to also advance to regional action tonight at Vicksburg High School

Moments after Wes Leonard led Fennville to another win in overtime, over Bridgman, last night he collapsed and later died at the hospital!

The cause of the 16-year old's death is not yet known.
