Grand Rapids’ ‘Blue Bridge’ Will Get A Makeover, But Remain Blue

There's been talk for a few months now of giving Grand Rapids' landmark 'Blue Bridge' a bit of a makeover, and it seems officials have finally come up with a plan. For those concerned that the color would change, fear not, we won't have to call it the red, green, yellow, or orange bridge in the future. The bridge will remain blue, but there are other changes being implemented, too. Find out more after the jump.

A man fell, or possibly committed suicide by jumping, from the Ottawa/Fulton Parking ramp early this morning, sometime we believe between 7 and 7:30 a.m.

Paramedics, and Grand Rapids Police worked on the man for quite awhile to no avail.

Downtown Grand Rapids is a great place for festivals. We've definitely seen that with ArtPrize, Celebration On The Grand, and the Art Festival. But, is Grand Rapids ready for a Bike Week?

Organizers are proposing an event, which could potentially bring in 40,000 bikers from all over the country to Downtown G-Rap. They say that the event (July 17-24) could potentially bring $21 million in revenue to downtown businesses. But, some of those businesses don't want to be a part of it.
