The Grand Rapids Symphony has done it so successfully in the past, that they're going to do it again.....accompany a blockbuster movie by playing the full score while we watch the movie.
Seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician John Mayer will kick off his first U.S. tour in two years on April 9th in Bloomington, IN. He'll be stopping in Grand Rapids just three days later on April 12 at 7:30pm. Mayer will take the DeVos Performance Hall promoting his newest album, Born and Raised soon after the Grand Rapids show.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 2 at 10am and are priced at $51, $76 and $86. Tickets will be available at the DeVos Place and Van Andel Arena box offices, ticektmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets including select D&W, Family Fare and Walmart locations or charge: 800-745-3000.
Two hours seemed like a prelude or a warm-up for veteran Bill Cosby who filled DeVos Performance Hall for two shows yesterday.
Although I wasn't able to attend the show -- I can honestly say that reading quotes from his dialogue is just as funny as hearing him deliver each punchline! I can so picture him in my mind after years of following the Cosby Show and wishing that I could somehow join the ficitional family myself!! You too??
