For several years, Clement Meadmore's Split Ring Sculpture resided at the Woodland Mall on 28th Street.  But before that, you might be surprised to learn that the sculpture's original home was Downtown Grand Rapids.  Meadmore's sculpture was originally installed at Grand Rapids Public Library in 1976 but later moved to the Woodland Mall shortly after it's opening.

Now the sculpture is back home in Downtown GR!  Clement Meadmore was an Australian-American sculptor known for massive outdoor steel sculptures and we are lucky enough to have one of his most famous designs right here in our city!
