Christine’s Social Media Pet Peeve

As much as we love social media we also get frustrated with it at the same time. It's a love-hate relationship. But the portion we dislike usually comes from other people and the things they say or do.

Someone I know from back in Detroit is a friend of mine on Snapchat and I can expect one from him in my story section every day. Furthermore, I can expect the same type of Snapchat everyday. I open them just so I can laugh because I know it's going to be what I expect... same snap, just a different day.

What are the snaps you ask? Usually him driving around with his music cranked up and his phone pointed at the car stereo. Sometimes, more often than not, he'll point the camera in his direction and I get to see him making the same "look at me I think I'm hot (but I'm really not)" facial expression. Other times he'll blow smoke in our face or give us a glimpse of his flashy jewelry. LOL yes he's one of those people.

But with all that... you know what annoys me? The fact that he takes a video of his car stereo. And he isn't the only person who does it. Multiple do it on Snapchat! I've also noticed that people (mostly guys) will take video of the camera pointed at the steering wheel so we can see their expensive watch. STOP IT! All of this is nonsense to me!!

I admit I have done the car stereo thing but only if it's a song that's an inside joke or has some type of meaning with another person. Then I'll send it privately. All in all I don't care about your watch, I don't care about the car you're driving, and I don't care to see how loud you bump your music. Just do your own thing.
