My Trip to Meijer Made Me Realize I’m Getting Old
Yesterday, I went to Meijer on Beltline Road for some quick grocery shopping and I was totally taken back by how amazing it was. I couldn't believe that I was actually standing in a Meijer. Hands down it was the nicest Meijer I've been to. I couldn't believe how big it was and everything inside of there. I had no idea where to begin. I felt like I was a little kid in a candy store. Do I go to the counter first and see what type of foods they made for the day? Or do I head to the sushi bar and take a look at the assortment of sushi I can choose from? Salads?! Fresh pizza?! Look at all this cheese! OMG there's an olive bar?! HECK YES!
I ended up getting a variety of delicious olives & oh ya did I mention that there were jugs of different olive oils and vinegars to sample from?! Totally took advantage of that and ended up buying a $16 bottle of balsamic vinegar, which was so worth it!
But my whole point isn't what I ended up buying at the grocery store it's how EXCITED I was about a Meijer being so damn nice. When I told my boyfriend about it he was like "that's how you know you're getting old... when Meijer is the highlight of your day." And he couldn't be more right! I get excited about grocery stores, I coupon and have a rewards card for everything, I love playing Bingo and Wheel of Fortune is my favorite pastime. I'm 27 going onto 60.
So my question to you is how do you know you're getting old?
