After Carrabba's in Kentwood randomly closed their doors last week it left people wondering "why?!" Now we may have an answer.

WXYZ Detroit reports that Bloomin' Brands, the company that owns not only Carrabba's but Outback Steakhouse and Bonefish Grill, will be closing multiple locations of each restaurant, nationwide.

Out of 1,500 locations, 43 will close this year. These 43 restaurants are all described as "under-performing" and have been losing money.

So what ones in West Michigan will we be losing? That isn't known as of yet. A spokesperson for Bloomin' Brands said in a statement:

"Out of respect for our employees and being able to share information with them first, we have not released specific locations at this time."

Even though the company is closing locations they state that they are moving forward in the right direction, like adding a delivery service to 115 of its restaurants, which will begin over the next three months.

Bloomin' Brands also owns Fleming's Steakhouse which has two locations on the east side of the state.
