Kathy Hasty of Metro Detroit was involved in a deadly car accident back on August 8th in Ionia County.

Police believe the semi-driver failed to stop for backed-up traffic and rear-ended her car, killing the semi-driver and causing the vehicle to spin out into the median.

Kathy was rushed to the hospital where she was treated for five rib fractures on the left side, ten rib fractures on the right side, a fractured sternum, a cracked bone in her neck, a cracked bone in her lower back, two fractures in her pelvis and a broken bone in her arm that required surgery.

Hours later after surgery, Kathy realized that she had lost two important rings.

Woman Searches For Wedding Rings Following Deadly Crash

The missing rings were of great sentimental value to Kathy and her family.

The first was a wedding ring that symbolized more than 40 years of marriage.

The second was an engagement ring that was a family heirloom given to her by her grandma.

Kathy and her family have been searching for them ever since.

The Family Has Asked For The Public's Help In Finding The Rings

They have shared pictures of the rings on social media and have asked anyone who finds them to contact them. They are offering a reward for the safe return of the rings.
