Sunday is this Wednesday's Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of West Michigan. She is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire terrier, in need of a good home. She's young and full of energy but can also be chill. She shows affection through her kisses and would fit right into a new family. If you have another dog in the home, or kids, it's always encouraged to set up a meeting prior to adopting.

Sunday is also heartworm positive, and an additional $100 is added to the adoption price due to the cost of the heartworm treatment. Adopting Sunday also means purchasing 6 months worth of heartworm preventative and the Humane Society matches the other 6 months. This should not at all get in the way of loving her and bringing her into "your" heart. Sunday is a healthy dog and will have a long life.

If you've been thinking about adding a new (or another) member to the family, the Humane society of West Michigan will be having a Home for the Holidays adoption special on Saturday, 12/10 from 12p-4p.

Adult dogs, that are normally $175 will only be $25. Kittens will also be $25, down from $95.  Adult cats and other critters have their fees waived.

To avoid waiting in the long line on Saturday, get pre-approved. Either fill out an adoption application form online or stop into the Humane Society so you can meet with an adoption counselor and get approved. Then come Saturday you can head to the shelter between 10a-12p (before the event actually begins) and be ready to take your new pet home!
