Every Wednesday, the folks from the Humane Society of West Michigan stop by and bring me a new friend to be named as “Wendy’s Pet Of The Week”. This week, Ashley from the Humane Society stopped by with Oliver.

She (yes, Oliver is a she) is a 6-month-old lion-head rabbit. Rabbits are litter-trainable and can make wonderful pets for the right person and/or family.

Also, a reminder: the Humane Society is teaming up with the Grand Rapids Symphony this Thursday and Friday at the D&W Fresh Market Picnic Pops at Cannonsburg Ski Area in Belmont. They'll be bringing several dogs, cats and small critters for adoption. To celebrate this being the 20th anniversary of the Picnic Pops, all dogs and kittens are only $20 for the adoption event with the symphony. There is also a name-your-own-price deal for cats and small critters.
