Last month, while appearing as a guest on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show,’ Justin Bieber told America that he vowed to match a $100,000 donation by Target to assist Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas and to provide for the 610 students from low-income families, many of which are homeless.

Bieber kept his word and personally delivered the check for $100,000 to the school last week (Friday, Dec. 16), which came directly from the 17-year-old star’s personal funds.

“For the kids, it shows that someone loves them and cares about them to follow up,” Principal Sherrie Gahn told the Las Vegas Sun of Bieber’s generous donation [quotes via The Hollywood Reporter]. “When you live in an existence where everything seems so hopeless, it’s an amazing gift they will never forget. It’s beyond their wildest dreams.”

Whitney Elementary helps students by providing a food pantry, clothes closet, free haircuts and literacy training on campus. With the addition of Bieber’s donation, the funds will help the school continue to provide the students’ families with food, clothes and money to pay utility bills.

After presenting the school with his check, Bieber stuck around a little bit longer and gave the students an added bonus by performing a mini-private concert. During the short set, Bieber performed ‘Mistletoe’ and ‘Christmas Love’ from his current album ‘Under the Mistletoe,’ as well as his smash hit ‘Baby,’ ‘Pray,’ and a cover of Usher‘s ‘U Got It Bad.’

Bieber’s donation follows a $10,000 check he gave to the Stratford House of Blessing in October. The SH is a local food bank in his hometown. Last month, the Biebs donated a signed Taylor guitar that was auctioned off to benefit the Winnipeg Harvest. Bieber also auctioned off a lock of his hair in recent months that raked in $40,000 for charitable causes.

We think it’s safe to say that Bieber lands on Santa’s nice list this year!
