Human trafficking is a huge problem, and a joint operation called Operation Cross Country IX payed off Tuesday.

Fox 17 reports twelve accused pimps have been arrested and nineteen victims, all underage, were rescued as part of the operation.

This effort to fight human trafficking was lead by the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The U.S. Attorney's Office, the Michigan Attorney General, the Wayne County Prosecutor, and Michigan State police also assisted in the successful operation.

According to the FBI, this has been the most successful trafficking bust in the U.S.
