GRFD To Host Open House For Fire Prevention Week

The Grand Rapids Fire Department will be hosting an open house this Saturday (October 11) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in honor of Fire Prevention Week. The open house will happen at the Monroe Avenue Fire Station,1181 Monroe Ave NW, and at the Grand Rapids Fire Regional Training Center at 1101 Monroe Avenue NW.

Demonstrations will be a part of the open house, this includes a demonstration of how fire spreads and a demonstration of the "jaws of life." They will also be taking people on a tour of the station, training center, tour of the fire trucks and will be shown how to practice CPR.
