Donald Trump Won’t Run for President

There's an old saying that goes, "The more commotion, the more promotion".

Chalk one up for Donald Trump.

Trump released a statement today saying he will not run for president in 2012 against Barack Obama, while questioning everything from the president's place of birth to being the focal point of comedians at the White House Correspondent's Dinner a couple weeks ago.

At the time that Trump was allegedly considering a run, he was all over the news, indirectly (or solely) promoting his latest edition of "Celebrity Apprentice" on NBC.  Now that the show is in its final stages of the season, The Donald can now enjoy a higher profile for the show and more personal success, all from a willing media already trying to hype the 2012 election.

I never thought he was serious about running for a minute. How about you? Would you have voted for Trump?
