Dad Uses Tough Love After Daughter’s ‘Disrespectful’ Facebook Post [Video]
This video is all over the place right now, and it’s sparking a lot of conversation. A father of a 15-year-old girl didn’t take kindly to the note that she posted on Facebook, and decided to make sure she wouldn’t be accessing her profile any time soon. Did this dad do the right thing? Or did he cross a line? Check out the video after the jump!
In the description of the video, this father wrote,
My daughter thought it would be funny/rebellious/cool to post on her Facebook wall just how upset she was and how unfair her life here is; how we work her too hard with chores, never pay her for chores, and just in general make her life difficult.
She chose to share this with the entire world on Facebook and block her parent’s from seeing it. Well, umm… she failed. As of the end of this video, she won’t have to worry anymore about posting inappropriate things on Facebook…
Maybe a few kids can take something away from this… If you’re so disrespectful to your parents and yourself as to post this kind of thing on Facebook, you’re deserving of some tough love. Today, my daughter is getting a dose of tough love.
I do have to warn you that there is some foul language in the video, so you won’t want to watch it with kids around, but it’s nothing too bad.

This dad is getting a lot of praise on Facebook, so I decided to poll some people and see what they thought of it.
If you disrespect the house you live in, call the people raising you a**holes and post it where EVERYONE can see, then if your laptop should suddenly be the victim of a drive by shooting…? Oh well.
But, there were some who didn’t agree with the technique used. Clint says,
Guns and anger don’t mix. That’s bad form and a little rednecky for my tastes. But that note was priceless. Teenagers live in a totally different reality. She deserved a wake up call.
And Rick offered up an alternative solution,
A little over the top for my taste, but I understand his frustration. However, I discovered it was just as easy to lock down my daughter’s computer with a password. I don’t think his approach is going to help her attitude at all.
What do you think? Did the punishment fit the crime? Or did this dad go way overboard?
