Are you excited for the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two? Can't wait to get your hands on it? Well, there are a couple different places right here in West Michigan that will be holding midnight release parties.

Schuler Books on 28th St. in Grand Rapids will be holding a party at their location starting at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 30. You can show up in costume for the parade and contest and join the ranks of the Ministry of Magic. You can receive your official Ministry badge and find out which department you are assigned to; let a wand choose you to help you in your new vocation; study the care of magical creatures under the tutelage of experts from John Ball Zoo; and pick up some field tips from strolling magician Magic Bob.

There will be live music from Super Guitar Bros, performances by members of the Grand Rapids Symphony, and you can be one of the first Muggles allowed to buy tickets for their performance of the musical score in tandem with the movie that started it all, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

The official party event package has everything you'll need to navigate the wizarding world for the night including a ticket for the new book, valid only at Midnight. Thirty percent of the proceeds from the night will be donated to the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation.

Barnes & Noble at the Woodland Mall will also be hosting a midnight release party. Their party kicks off at 8 p.m. At the B&N party, two customers will be announced as the winners of a set of seven Harry Potter Limited Edition Cover Prints, and two tickets to the Grand Rapids Symphony's Harry Potter in Concert event. A percentage of the proceeds from the event will support the Children's Reading Corner at the Kent County Department of Health and Human Services.

The party will also include fun activities, a special Muggle Wall where customers can share their favorite Harry Potter memories, and several giveaways.
