Grand Rapids Drive Opens NBA D-League for 2014-15 Season on Nov. 15

The Grand Rapids Drive has released its schedule for the 2014-15 season, the team’s inaugural run in the NBA Development League.

The Drive opens its season with a four-game road trip with a four-game road trip starting Nov. 15 at Bakersfield, the Phoenix Suns' California-based affiliate. The team returns for its first Grand Rapids home game at The DeltaPlex Arena & Conference Center on Nov. 26 against the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Los Angeles Lakers affiliate.

Thoughts on the Ray Rice Matter with Wendy Reed, Man Who Caused Domestic Violence [Video]

Connie & Curtis this morning spoke with Wendy Reed as well as a man who was the abuser in a relationship about the Ray Rice matter on "Connie & Curtis" on Channel 95.7.

The Baltimore Ravens ended Rice's contract and the NFL suspended him indefinitely on Monday after TMZ released the video of Rice punching his wife in the face in a casino elevator back in February.

There actually was a new film released this week. It's called 'The Identical' and it's a Christian-themed fable about what would have happened if Elvis Presley's stillborn twin brother had survived. Well, for reasons that should be obvious after reading that sentence, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' held onto the number one spot this weekend while 'The Identical' opened outside of the top 10, never to be heard from again.

Multiple Crashes Shut Down Westbound I-96 In Ionia County

Westbound I-96 is shut down in Ionia County due to multiple crashes. The stretch of highway is closed at the Saranac exit because of two multi-truck crashes.

One person was reportedly hurt in the first crash near the Clarksville exit.  And at least one person was injured in the second crash near the Saranac exit.  Police called for the jaws of life and AeroMed was put on standby.

Police Investigating Deadly Crash In Ottawa County – Drivers Asked To Avoid The Area

At least one person is dead after a three-vehicle crash that has shut down a portion of westbound Interstate-196 business loop.

Ottawa County dispatchers are asking that drivers avoid the highway at Byron Road.

Western Michigan University Goes Tobacco-Free

Western Michigan University has become the latest campus in Michigan to go 100% tobacco-free.

The policy applies to all students, faculty and staff as well as visitors and contractors working on campus. The only exception to the campus wide mandate is that smoking is allowed in enclosed personal vehicles.
