You Peed On That! — Things People Love To Do on Facebook

Janna and I have talked at long length with each other over cocktails about the things that people do on Facebook that we find generally annoying or strange.  You know the kinds of things that I'm talking about: the over-sharing, the cryptic statuses, the person who only posts quotes as their statuses, the group of white suburban girls throwing up gang signs, announcing your pregnancy by posting a picture of the test. The list goes on.  There were so many that we figured we should make a list. So here, in no particular order, some of the weird things that people love to do on Facebook.

Rachel Crow might have earned herself a spot in the ‘X Factor‘ semi-finals tonight with two strong performances on the show. Sneakers or “Tennis Shoes”?

Since I'm new to Michigan, I have to know ... are they "tennis shoes" or "sneakers"?

I always called them tennis shoes until I lived in Philadelphia; at a radio station event, I called them "tennies" and the mom looked at me as though I had three heads.  On the east coast, they are "sneakers."

Yes, Virginia, Women Really Are Catty with Each Other

Well here’s a whopping non-surprise: a new study reveals women aren’t always very nice to one other, primarily when other women are attractive.

Women recruited for a phony study by University of Ottowa professor Tracy Vaillancourt were interrupted by another woman walking into the room during the session — and that’s when the real research began.

Shocker! Men Still Think A Lot About Sex, But Only 19 Times a Day

Turns out that old adage that says men think about sex every seven seconds isn’t entirely true. In fact, it’s way less — and while men do have lusty thoughts more often than women, the overall difference between them isn’t as dramatic as you may think.

Thanksgiving – Making New Traditions

For last ten years, Thanksgiving has been one of those holidays I could give or take. I mean, I live 300 miles away from my family, and usually have to work the day before and day after. I don't really have any traditions, except for going to dinner at someone else's family's house (and I'm grateful that over the years many families have taken me in.)

For The Love Of God, Get Out Of The Left Lane!

Let me preface this by saying I'm not a patient person.  I've been accused of having road rage once or twice. And I probably drive faster than most people, most of the time. But that doesn't make it any more acceptable for you to drive slow in the left lane

Book Review: How to Kill A Rockstar

I am a reader. I love reading, it's a great way to escape your every day lives (mainly the stressful parts!) One of the books I read and fell in love with was "How to kill a Rock Star" by Tiffanie Debartolo. This is one of "those books" you know what I mean? The kind you can't put down, and you constantly sit and think about the characters and what is going to happen next?

10 Crime Shows From the ’80s That Need a Reboot

Love 'em or hate 'em, reboots are all the rage in Hollywood — both on the big screen, where you can't go a week without a new version of 'Footloose,' 'The Three Musketeers,' and 'The Thing,' and on the TV, where '90210' is back and 'Charlie's Angels' briefly took flight again this fall.

Recognizing a trend when they see it, the folks at NBC have decided to reboot the cult 1987-90 CBS hit 'Wiseguy,' which starred Ken Wahl as a tough-as-nails undercover cop who infiltrated the Mob. (Kevin Spacey gave a memorable performance as a creepy, drug-addicted gangster.)

Next Restaurant’s Menu Brings You Back To Your Childhood [VIDEO]

Next Restaurant, in Chicago, is not your typical restaurant.  Their unusual ways begin with your reservation, because they don't offer reservations, they only sell tickets.  The restaurant is in such high demand that they want to totally eliminate the possibility of a patron making a reservation and not showing up.  Continuing down the path of unusual, Next Restaurant has an ever changing menu that morphs multiple times throughout the year.  The current manifestation is called Next Childhood and is inspired by the foods you ate as a child.

5 TV Show Remakes That Didn’t Stink

Hollywood loves to crank out remakes of beloved TV shows, and this season is no exception. Television viewers will be treated to new versions of 'Charlie’s Angels' and 'Prime Suspect.'
