It's being reported by WZZM-13 that a court officer accidentally shot himself reportedly while cleaning his gun inside the U.S. Bankruptcy Court building, which is next to the Grand Rapids Police Department in downtown Grand Rapids early Thursday afternoon.

GRPD Officer Saves Deer Trapped In Baseball Field [Video]

I came across this a little while and it was just too sweet not to share. A Grand Rapids police officer helped out a button buck (a young male deer) on Wednesday night.

The GRPD posted a video of the rescue on their Facebook page. In the video, you see Officer Ryan Bruggink carrying a deer off of a softball field at Plaster Creek Family Park.

Good News! Pluto Might Be A Planet Again.

Were you, like me, bummed when back in 2006 when the International Astronomical Union decided that Pluto wasn't a planet? Well, fear not! We may be getting our favorite tiny celestial entity back as one of the official "planets". Maybe.

Originally, Pluto was booted because there appeared to be a bunch of other big rocks just like Pluto in the same general vicinity, and they're all considered too small to be called a planet.
