8 Celebrities Who Battled Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and on October 20th we will be celebrating survivors at Bras Across the Grand with the American Cancer Society. Come decorate a bra and hang it across the Grand River in tribute to the fight against breast cancer! Help us create a chain of hope to raise awareness about early detection and honor those battling the disease and those who have died of it.

Breast cancer knows no boundaries. People of all ages, races, and economic status cope with fighting breast cancer, including celebrities. Super famous or not, all those battling need our support. Join with us at Bras Across Grand to celebrate all survivors, including these inspiring stars.

International pop star Kylie Minogue was diagnosed in 2005. Her willingness to speak openly and honestly about the disease has made her an inspiration to many.

Rocker Sheryl Crow was diagnosed in 2006 after a routine mammogram showed suspicious areas. Because it was caught early enough, she was able to avoid chemotherapy.  She has said, “I am a walking advertisement for early detection.”
