Our Predictions for the MTV Video Music Awards in GIFs – Weekly Motion Picture Collection
The MTV Video Music Awards are full of surprises every year. For the 2013 edition of the award show, there have been some amazing videos that came out this year including Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘Thrift Shop,’ which did wonders to launch the career of the rapper/producer duo. Justin Timberlake is up for six awards, and we have a feeling this guy will come home with a couple Moonmen himself — it is JT, after all. The fans have all the say this year, so whichever artist gets the most fan votes wins, but we have some ideas of who we would like to see win each category. Let’s watch some video GIFs!
Video of the Year should go to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘Thrift Shop.’ This kickstarted their whole entire rise to fame! Plus, it has a baller fur coat!
Best Hip-Hop Video should go to Drake‘s clip for ‘Started From the Bottom.’ We’ve never wanted to work in a pharmacy, but we sure do now!
Robin Thicke‘s ‘Blurred Lines’ should win for Best Male Video strictly because of T.I.‘s dancing skillz.
If Miley doesn’t win for Best Female Video, then Smilers, you’ve seriously let us down. Don’t let this happen.
Best Pop Video should go to the reigning Prince of Pop — Justin Timberlake. He’s making pop music better than ever with stunning videos to match!
As far as we’re concerned there’s only one guy we have our eye on in the Artist to Watch category. Hint: Austin Mahone.
Best Collabo? Do we even need to tell you guys that it should be Justin Timberlake and Jay Z taking home the Moonman for ‘Suit & Tie’? Well we’re telling you now, so you can vote accordingly.
2013 has been all about equality, which is why we think Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ clip for ‘Same Love’ should win for Best Video With a Social Message.
Best Rock Video? Do any of the other nominees besides Fall Out Boy have 2 Chainz using a flame thrower in their videos? We didn’t think so.
Lastly, if Bruno Mars and his Hooligans don’t win for Best Choreography in ‘Treasure’ then we’ve lost total faith in the process. For realz.
