WOWZA! Yahoo Beats Google For Internet Searches

Think back to the 90's and the dotcom BOOM! That was the last time that Yahoo beat Google for internet traffic. That was only because we didn't even really know of Google's existence at the time. Well, Yahoo has managed to beat Google again in 2013.

Google has held the top spot since April 2008 for most internet traffic. However, new Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer might be turning things around for the company.

There's really no specific reason why Yahoo won out over Google though many analysts say it's because Yahoo acquired popular social networking site "Tumblr" which might be directing traffic to Yahoo.

The company is setting themselves up to nab some other startups as well so only time will tell if Yahoo might be a top contender to beat Google again.
