Louise Elliott, a 32-year-old mother, raised £640 to put a homeless couple up in a hotel for Christmas.  Little did she know that her generosity was going to backfire badly.  Upon the couples departure from the hotel, the staff found the room absolutely destroyed!

The hotel manager said that the couple did about £1000 in damages.  They destroyed the carpet, attempted to rip the television off the wall, and smashed an expensive noise dampening window in the room.

After the first night at the hotel, the two asked the hotel manager if they could leave that day and just take cash for the remaining nights that had been booked for them.  The hotel manager denied the request and afterward, the damage ensued.

Metro UK quoted Louise as saying "We feel like fools. It was the time of year for goodwill and generosity. So many kind people went out their way to try and do something nice at Christmas but it has turned into a nightmare. I am so sorry for the people who gave money.’
