Ask yourself, what did you do today?

35-year-old Amber Pangborn traveling through Northern California had quite an eventful Saturday after she took a shortcut to her parent's house. Pangborn went into labor and figured, like most of us would, that this shortcut would get her to safety quickly.

She was wrong.

Pangborn ended up lost in the Northern California forest, turns out the baby couldn't wait, she ended up giving birth to baby Marisa ALONE.

Here's where it gets pretty gross, so finish your lunch.

Apparently the bees wanted the placenta (Pangborn's joke, not mine), and they tried attacking her and the newborn. Pangborn was stung fighting off the bees, and defending her daughter. She knew she had to get out of there.

She started a fire, hoping someone would see the smoke, but the flames quickly grew and lit up the site of the mountain.

MSN.com reports the fire tactic worked because crews found Pangborn and her baby when investigating the source of the fire.

Both Panborns were rescued and taken to the hospital.
