The stars of NBC’s Will & Grace went surprisingly all-out for a recent reunion video breaking down the 2016 election, practically staging an entire new episode in the process. Naturally, the viral video made NBC see dollar signs, and an official Will & Grace reunion series is now in development.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, NBC is in admittedly vague talks to revive the Emmy-winning comedy with a 10-episode limited series order. We say “vague,” as no deals are officially in place with stars Eric MCCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes, nor creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan.

Not to mention this chestnut:

NBC and Will & Grace producers declined comment. Insiders caution it’s extremely early in the talks and it’s unclear if a Will & Grace revival could actually happen.

Naturally, the idea came about after the viral success of September’s “Vote Honey” video, which saw the assembled cast reuniting for a ten-minute “episode” about Jack (Hayes)’s indecision in the 2016 election. At the time, McCormack expressed doubt at the prospect of a full revival to The Hollywood Reporter:

There is no official talk. A lot of that started the past 36 hours on the internet, which can create its own crazy expectations. We had a great time. It’s a never say never type of situation. But at this point, there is no talk … As for the future, everyone — from Max and David on down — is so protective of the show and how we ended it. We’re very proud of the series finale and the story that told of the break that friendships sometimes take. So to play with that and change that story and change our own stories in life, I’m sure we would all be open to talking about it.

We’ll see what official details shake out, but was the early video proof-of-concept for Will & Grace’s return? Is Willer & Grace an option? Watch the original video below.
