Where To Recycle Your Christmas Tree In West Michigan
If your New Year's resolution is to stop procrastinating, this weekend will provide a perfect opportunity for a little practice.
Use the long weekend to recycle your Christmas tree and save your feet from the constant threat of a surprise attack from a sharp fallen needle.

In East Grand Rapids, Christmas trees may be placed out for collection by utility crews from Monday, Jan. 2 to Friday, Jan. 13.
In Plainfield Township, tree drop-off takes place Dec. 26 though Jan. 29 at Versluis Park, 6161 Belmont Ave. NE.
In Ada Township, residents can drop off trees at the Ada Township Park back parking lot, 1180 Buttrick Ave. SE, until Monday, Jan. 13.
In Kentwood, residents can drop-off Dec. 26 to Jan. 31. Bring trees to the Department of Public Works, 5608 Breton Ave. SE during business hours.
In Wyoming, residents can drop off trees at the city Public Service Center, 2660 Burlingame Ave. SW during the day on Saturdays, Dec. 31, Jan. 7 and Jan. 14.
In Walker, city residents can drop off trees in three locations between today and Jan. 23: City Hall, 4243 Remembrance Road NW, Walker Community Park, 650 Cummings Ave. NW, and Fire Station No. 3, 1470 Three Mile Road NW.
In Grandville, tree drop-off is available behind the Public Works Building at 4095 White St., Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The gate will also be opened on Saturday (January only) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In Zeeland, city residents can dispose of trees at the Riley Street Brush Drop-Off Facility between Centennial and Fairview avenues, between Dec. 31 and Jan. 7, 8 a.m. to noon. Curbside service has been discontinued.
In Holland, city refuse and recycling customers must cut their tree to 6 feet or less and place curbside on waste service days from Dec. 27 to Jan 7. Non-curbside service customers can drop off trees at Smallenburg Park at Fairbanks Ave and 16th Street between those same dates.
In Park or Holland townships, trees can be dropped off today through Jan. 31 at the Quincy Street Park, 14025 Quincy St. from dawn to dusk.

(Recycling is) available at the following drop-off areas: Riverside Park (north entrance), 2001 Monroe Ave., NE and JC Family Park at 2531 Kalamazoo Ave., SE. You may bring your Christmas tree to any of the above locations beginning Monday, January 2nd and ending January 27th.
Residents are asked to make sure all ornaments, tinsel, nails, tree stands and any other decorations are removed from the tree prior to recycling.
