Miley Cyrus Claims She Wasn't Trying to Be Sexy At the "VMAs" 

In an interview with "Rolling Stone", MILEY CYRUS claims she wasn't trying to be sexy at the "VMAs" . . . quote, "If I was trying to be sexy, I could have been sexy.  I can dance a lot better than I was dancing."  She also says there's a double-standard because ROBIN THICKE didn't get criticized as much as she did for it.

In her "Rolling Stone" interview, MILEY CYRUS says she's NOT trying to cash in on black culture . . . quote, "I don't keep my producers or dancers around 'cause it makes me look cool.  Those aren't my 'accessories'.  They're my homies."  She added, quote, "I'm from one of the wealthiest counties in America.  I know what I am.  But I also know what I like to listen to.  Look at any 20-year-old white girl right now . . . that's what they're listening to at the club."

To celebrate her first "Rolling Stone" cover story, MILEY CYRUS took the reporter to a tattoo parlor, where she got the word "Rolling" tattooed on the bottom of her right foot, and "$tone" tattooed on the bottom of her left.  But she used a dollar sign instead of an "s".

Elton John Would Like to Rip a Piece of Liam Hemsworth Off For Himself 

On today's "Ellen", ELTON JOHN says he wouldn't mind MILEY CYRUS' sloppy seconds.  He says, quote, "I'll take her old boyfriend . . . as the French say, 'A bit on the side.'  He's gorgeous . . . those Australians."

He also says he found Miley's "VMA" performance "weird", and didn't really like seeing her tongue hanging out.  But he adds that it did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Quote, "She flattened the opposition.  Nobody talked about anybody else except Miley."

SIMON COWELL says he'll be involved in his child's life . . . but his involvement will NOT start in the delivery room.

Ryan Braun's Picture is Being Taken Off the Cover of a Book on Jewish Sports Stars 

RYAN BRAUN of the Milwaukee Brewers was supposed to be on the cover of volume 2 of the kids book "Jewish Sports Stars: Athletic Heroes Past and Present".  But because of his steroid scandal, the publishers took him off and replaced him with legendary pitcher SANDY KOUFAX.

The "Hollywood Reporter" has put together a list of the 11 Tallest Movie Stars Ever.  It includes Andre the Giant, Kareem Abdul-Jabaar and the guys who played Chewbacca, the Predator and Lurch in the "Addams Family" movies.  Oh . . . and for some reason . . . SHAQ.

1.  Andre the Giant,  7 feet tall.  Other than his wrestling, Andre is best known for playing Fezzik in "The Princess Bride" back in 1987. 

 

 

He also famously played Bigfoot on "The Six Million Dollar Man" in the '70s.  And he was the creature Dagoth in "Conan the Destroyer" in 1984.  He died in 1993.

 

 

2.  Carel Struycken,  7 feet tall.  He's best known for playing Lurch in the "Addams Family" movies.  He was also in "Men In Black" and the TV show "Twin Peaks".

 

 

3.  Romanian NBA star Gheorghe Muresan,  7-foot-7-inches.  He was in the 1998 BILLY CRYSTAL movie "My Giant" . . . and EMINEM'S "My Name Is" video.

4.  John Aasen,  7-foot-2.  You wouldn't know him.  He was an actor in the '20s and '30s.  (He died in 1938.)

Bill Nye the Science Guy Suffered a "Partially Torn Ligament" on "Dancing with the Stars" Monday Night 

BILL NYE, the Science Guy, hurt his knee pretty bad when he tripped at the end of his paso doble on "Dancing with the Stars" Monday night.  Yesterday, he said it was a, quote, "Partially torn ligament."  It's unclear whether or not he'll remain in the competition.

The Emmys Took Second Place in the Ratings . . . and the Season Premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" Came in Third

 

 

"The Emmy Awards" attracted 17.8 million viewers, which was their largest audience in eight years and 33% more viewers than when Jimmy Fallon hosted it last year.  The Emmys came in second place in the ratings, behind "Sunday Night Football".

 

 

The 17th season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" was third with 16 million, which is up 16% from last fall's All-Star's premiere.  Here are the Top 20 shows.

 

 

1.  "Sunday Night Football", NBC, 20.5 million viewers.  The Chicago Bears beat the Steelers, 40-23.  And Pittsburgh dropped to 0-3 for the first time since 1986.

 

2.  "The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards", CBS, 17.8 million viewers.

 

3.  The 17th season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars", ABC, 16 million viewers.

 

4.  "Monday Night Football: Pittsburgh at Cincinnati", ESPN, 14.3 million viewers.  The Bengals beat the Steelers, 20-10.

 

5.  The 1st season finale of "Under the Dome", CBS, 12.1 million viewers

  The 3rd season premiere of "Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse" got 1.6 million.

Disney Won't Let Disabled People Jump to the Front of Lines Anymore, Because Rich People Were Hiring Them to Cut Lines

:  Back in May, a report came out that rich people were hiring DISABLED PEOPLE to escort them around Disney parks . . . because disabled people can skip to the front of the line for rides.  So Disney's been forced to change its policy.  Now disabled people will get special passes that work like a FastPass, and lets them skip one line at a time.

A Restaurant's Offering a 10% Discount If You Leave Your Phone With the Staff While You Eat . . . Unfortunately It's in Beirut

:  Let's hope this idea spreads to restaurants EVERYWHERE.  There's a restaurant in Beirut that wants people to actually TALK to each other during dinner . . . instead of staring at their phones, or worse, TALKING on their phones.  So they're offering a 10% discount if you leave your phone with the staff while you eat.

A Man Tries to Save a Cat on the Turnpike, and Causes a Major Crash That Kills a Woman . . . and the Cat

On Monday night, a 35-year-old man in Florida saw a cat running across the Florida Turnpike.  So he pulled over and walked onto the road to save it.  But a 75-year-old woman didn't see him . . . hit him AND the cat . . . then swerved off the road and hit his car.  The guy's in critical condition, and both the woman AND the cat died.
