JENNY MCCARTHY and DONNIE WAHLBERG got married Saturday near Chicago.  Guests included fellow NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood, and brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight . . . plus Sherri Shepherd, who was let go from "The View" along with Jenny.  Donnie's brother MARK wasn't there, but he sent a congratulatory video.

ASHLEE SIMPSON married DIANA ROSS's son EVAN Sunday at her home in Greenwich, Connecticut.  Diana even officiated the ceremony.  Ashlee is 29, Evan is 26.

 

 

JESSICA SIMPSON was the matron of honor, and Ashlee's 5-year-old son Bronx walked her down the aisle.  Ashlee was married to Bronx's dad PETE WENTZ of FALLOUT BOY from 2008 to 2011.

 

 

This is Evan's first marriage.  He plays Messalla in the final two "Hunger Games" movies, "Mockingjay Part 1 and 2".

GABRIELLE UNION married Miami Heat star DWYANE WADE at the Chateau Artisan in Miami on Saturday.  He's 32, she's 41.

Joan Rivers Is Reportedly on Life Support . . . And Her Family Is "Keeping Their Fingers Crossed" 

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like JOAN RIVERS' condition improved over the weekend.  Word has it she's on LIFE SUPPORT, but that hasn't been confirmed.  Her daughter MELISSA RIVERS merely said, quote, "We are keeping our fingers crossed."

Joan is 81.  According to reports, she was placed in a medically-induced coma on Thursday, after suffering complications during a minor throat procedure.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" Topped the Labor Day Weekend Box Office

 

 

It was a quiet Labor Day weekend at the box office.  "Guardians of the Galaxy" came in #1 again, after earning another $22 million.

 

 

That brings its total up to $280 million, which was enough to pass up "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as the top grossing movie of the year.

 

 

As for the new stuff, the horror movie "As Above/So Below" debuted in 5th place with $10.3 million . . . and PIERCE BROSNAN'S "The November Man" was right behind with $10.2 million.

Here are the results of a few new studies on parenting.  About 41% of parents are nervous about the school year . . . and for 9% of them, it's because they're not ready to help with homework.  Baby talk is good for your kid . . . it helps them start talking earlier.  And when men become dads for the first time, it takes about five months before they feel like they're competent fathers.
