Sherri Shepherd's Estranged Husband Wants Custody of Their Unborn Baby 

SHERRI SHEPHERD'S husband filed for legal separation last week, and he wants full custody of their unborn son, who's being carried by a surrogate.  He also asked that their prenuptial agreement be invalidated due to "fraud", and not surprisingly, he wants spousal support, and for Sherri to pay his attorney fees.

ZAC EFRON and SETH ROGEN'S comedy "Neighbors" won the Mother's Day weekend box office and blew away expectations with $51.1 million.  That's the 4th best opening of all time for an R-rated comedy.

 

 

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" was knocked to 2nd place with $37.2 million . . . the Mother's Day comedy "Moms' Night Out" made $4.2 million in 7th place . . . and the animated "Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return" was at #8 with $3.7 million.

NBC Has Announced a Ton of New Shows, Including a Comedy Where Kate Walsh Plays a Sexy Judge 

NBC announced their new shows for next season yesterday, and they include:  A sitcom about a wild, sexy judge starring KATE WALSH from "Grey's Anatomy" . . . as well as a drama where former "Grey's Anatomy" star KATHERINE HEIGL plays a top CIA agent who works closely with the President.

KATE WALSH from "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" is playing a wild, sexy judge in a sitcom called "Bad Judge".  NBC describes her character as a, quote, "hard-living, sexually unapologetic woman, who also happens to be a judge."

 

 

Speaking of "Gray's Anatomy", there's also a drama called "State of Affairs", starring KATHERINE HEIGL as a top CIA agent, who works with the President.

 

 

Former "Will & Grace" star DEBRA MESSING will star in a drama called "Mysteries of Laura".  She's playing a quirky homicide detective.

 

 

CRISTIN MILIOTI, who played "The Mother" on "How I Met Your Mother", is starring in "A to Z", which is described as:  "A whimsical romantic comedy set in the world of an online dating company."

NBC Has Canceled "Community" . . . and Announced Their Other Renewals and Cancellations

 

NBC has canceled "Community" and "Revolution", along with eight other shows.  They're bringing back "Parenthood" and "Parks and Recreation", but both of them are only getting one more season.  The network also announced that "The Blacklist" is getting the coveted post-Super Bowl timeslot next year.

NBC is also NOT bringing back:  "Believe", "Crisis", "Dracula", "Growing Up Fisher", "Ironside", "The Michael J. Fox Show", "Revolution", "Sean Saves the World" and "Welcome to the Family".

 

 

The shows that NBC has renewed include:  "The Voice", "The Blacklist", "About a Boy", "Chicago Fire", "Chicago P.D.", "Law & Order: SVU", "The Biggest Loser", "Grimm", "Hannibal" and "Celebrity Apprentice".

"Parenthood" and "Parks and Recreation" were also picked up, but both were only cleared for ONE more, final season.

2014-2015 TV Season Randoms 

 

 

1.  CBS canceled the ROBIN WILLIAMS sitcom, "The Crazy Ones", after one season.  They also dumped "Bad Teacher", "Intelligence", "Friends with Better Lives" and "Hostages".

 

 

Somewhat surprisingly, they're bringing back "The Mentalist" for another season.

 

 

CBS is also expected to add a new "NCIS" spin-off that's set in New Orleans . . . plus an "Odd Couple" reboot starring Mathew Perry and Thomas Lennon, but no official announcements have been made.

 

 

 

2.  TBS has renewed "Cougar Town" for a sixth and final season.

 

 

 

3.  ABC has canceled "Suburgatory", Rebel Wilson's "Super Fun Night" and "The Neighbors" . . . but is bringing back "Nashville" and "Last Man Standing".

The Social Security Administration just released the most popular baby names for 2013.  And for the first time in 14 years, the most popular name for boys ISN'T Jacob.  It's Noah.  For girls, the most popular name was Sophia for the third year in a row.

According to a new survey, almost HALF the women in the U.S. own a sex toy.  41% own at least one, and another 4.5% own six or more.  Men are less likely to own them . . . 35% have at least one.  Which still seems like a lot?

Two Days Without Posting on Facebook Makes You Depressed?

 

 

It seems like the overwhelming majority of people on Facebook fall into two camps:  The people who NEVER post . . . and the people who post CONSTANTLY.  Maybe it's better for you to be in that first group.

 

 

A new study had people who regularly post on Facebook STOP.  And they found in less than TWO days, those people were depressed, had lower self-esteem, and felt like they were losing control.  (Daily Mail / Science Daily)

You Don't Really Have to Start Exercising Before You Turn 40

 

 

We've got a new study here, and we're not saying you SHOULDN'T exercise if you're in your 20s or 30s . . . but if you DON'T exercise, it's not like you're guaranteed to have a heart attack later on.

 

 

A study out of the University of Rennes in France found that as long as someone starts exercising at age 40, it can have the same benefits for your heart as if you started exercising when you were younger.

 

 

The researchers say it's a good sign that, quote, "it's never too late to change your way of life and get more physically active."  (Business-Standard)

The Hottest New Diet Is . . . Tapping On Your Face to Lose Weight?

There's a new diet that says you can lose weight just by TAPPING on your body.  When you want to eat junk food, you figure out what's bothering you emotionally, repeat that it's going to be okay, and tap nine different acupuncture pressure points.  And in a clinical trial, women lost an average of 16 pounds in eight weeks doing it.

Bald Guys Are Now Tattooing Hair on Their Heads

The newest treatment for baldness is having tiny DOTS tattooed on your scalp.  So it LOOKS like you have hair, but you just CHOSE to buzz it short.  It's called micropigmentation, and supposedly Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, and Pitbull have all had it done.  It costs between $1,500 and $5,000 to do your entire head.
