The Golden Globes Are Out
The nominations for the Golden Globe Awards were announced yesterday, and the movies "12 Years a Slave" and "American Hustle" led the way with SEVEN apiece. "The Butler" got totally shut out. The ceremony airs live on Sunday, January 12th.

In an interview with MTV News she said, quote, "I've been watching a lot of reality TV shows and those reality TV shows have a lot of New Jersey women, so I can't say that it's not from them. I wish I could, I really wish I could."

Only 3% of People Who Make a New Year's Resolution to Lose Weight Actually Do
According to a new survey, 72% of people have made a New Year's resolution to lose weight before. And 69% of us have FAILED at it. In other words, there's only about a 3% success rate. Still, 70% of us plan to make it our resolution THIS year.

The Majority of Americans Don't Trust Any Industry . . . But We Especially Don't Trust Tobacco Companies, the Oil Industry, and Facebook
A new survey has found there's not a SINGLE industry that the majority of Americans find trustworthy. Grocery stores got the BEST ranking, with 30% of us trusting them. Hospitals came in second, at 28%. Tobacco companies came in last, at 3% . . . and oil companies came in second-to-last, at 4%.

On Tuesday, a 31-year-old man was walking in Oklahoma when he got lost . . . and fell into an icy pond. It was 35 degrees outside, so he stripped off his freezing wet clothes, and contorted his body into his GUITAR CASE to stay warm. A few hours later, some people found him, he was rushed to the hospital, and he's going to be okay.
A 16-Year-Old Drunk Driver Killed Four People. . . But the Judge Let Him Off Because He's Rich and Doesn't Know Any Better?
A 16-year-old in Texas killed four people while driving drunk this past June, and could have gotten 20 years in prison. But the judge only gave him PROBATION, because his lawyers argued that he had "affluenza" . . . where you're so rich and spoiled, you don't know right from wrong. And yes, it's a made-up condition.
