What Would You Take: a Better Boss or $5,000 Raise?
Two complaints at a job are usually you hate your boss or you don't make enough money, so what if it came down to either picking to have a better boss or to make more money?
Randstad US' conducted an Employee Engagement Study where they asked a group of people what would make their job more tolerable: A $5,000 raise . . . or a new boss. According to the survey 28% of people would pick the new boss over the money.
The Employee Engagement Study also uncovered:
- Nearly half of employees feel stressed after they return from vacation.
- More than 1 in 3 employees believe that taking fewer vacations makes them look better
- More than 1 in 3 employees had to cancel vacation plans due to work.
