So this year's list for the most popular baby names was released this week, and Jacob is still the #1 name for a boy for the 13th year in a row. This cannot be more accurate as it is according to the Social Security Administration's annual list of the most popular American baby names, based on the previous year's applications for Social Security numbers.

Though "Jacob" has been on the top 10 list of favorite baby names for almost 15 years, the popularity of the "Twilight" books could have something to do with the name Jacob being at #1 yet again. The name originates from the Old Testament and means "supplanter." Sophia pushed Isabella out of #1, after only a two-year track. Sophia is an ancient Greek name that means "wisdom."
